In just a few weeks, Christmas will be a memory of the past and the New Year will be well under way, but it won’t just be waistlines that have expanded over the festive period.
Statistics from real estate advisor, Savills published on ASAP report that 2017 will see record expansion of extended stay stock expansion – including fully serviced apartments. Perhaps surprisingly, it isn’t the capital, London, which is expected to see the biggest growth – but Manchester, with the north also expected to be among the big gainers.
The same report also notes that more than four-out-of-five (82%) new properties will feature in regional cities – including Newcastle.
It’s more good news for the sector – which includes serviced apartments – after 2016 also showed growth, with serviced apartment news reporting in July that growing demand would see the industry would be worth around $170bn (Approx £136bn) by 2019.
